Turn off sync button response

When pressing the voice command button on steering wheel on Gen 3 if you long press Siri responds if you quickly press sync responds. Is there any way to turn off the sync response so it just does Siri in CarPlay? I hope I’m explaining this right. In my gen 2 it seemed like it when straight to Siri when pressed. I exclusively use CarPlay so I never use the Sync options. I know it’s not a big deal but older I get the pickier I am.

Just yell out to Siri. I get a response every time, don't need to press anything.

True. I turned on hey Siri option on phone gonna give that a go. I was trying the Alexa option seemed to get a static sound happening.

I've just become accustomed to pressing and holding for Google Assistant. I guess I could yell out but I doubt it would hear me with all the windows down/slid open and the music going. I'll give it a shot.
