Well I installed my CVF intercooler today and turbo smart BOV. Let’s just say I should have checked the connector before install.wish I would have seen this post earlier. Ugh FML BOV connector is wrong.

It was very easy to file mine down with a nail file.

Yeah tried that got the plug to work...I’m guessing. It would work (blow off)3x’s then after that it would quit working and wouldn’t work again.

Mine clicked in after filing down the grooves just fine and has been working as intended. It’s frustrating that a whole batch of these BOV’s got a wrong connector, but I already had the intercooler out and wanted to avoid doing it all over again after sending the BOV back. Maybe it’s the impatience in me...

I was thinking of purchasing this bov but I noticed it comes with a plug for the recirculation pipe and you just zip tie a unused pipe. I don't like this idea is there a way to just fully remove that unused pipe and what would be needed to block it off on the other end?

Do they make it like the prior version with a vband flange that can be welded to the charge pipe or intercooler? Then just the flange on the old EVOV supersonic would just get tsmarts vband clamp and problem solved.

Is the newest BOV offering a twist lock install only not vband?

Also why not just have the tune delete the code and not plug any electrical connector in at all. That’s easily shut off

I had the same thought as you, why not just remove the pipe? So I did. I'm using a vinyl end cap and hose clamp to plug the hole on the inlet tube and haven't had any issues at all. Truck runs great, no check engine lights. Links to what I'm using are below:
