When you get it installed do a review and show us how much oil its catching if any.

Im not going to buy one unless there is proof its actually needed on this motor.

Just curious as to why you think this would not be needed? Has Ford made a change to the PCV system for the new 3.5 Eco HO? I've seen incredible amounts of crap pulled out of catch cans in both pre and post 2015 3.5 Eco motors. And I don't think those are running anywhere near as much boost.

It will work very well on ANY direct injection engine....

There's no fuel to clean the valves.... so yeah, it's gonna work.

@The Mav You do realize the '17 Raptor has both port and direct injection, right? Theoretically it means the valve fouling you're talking about would be no more likely than on the old one since fuel should be hitting the back of the intake valves at appropriate RPM etc. Granted, I still use a catch can even on my 6.2L because of the stupid PCV system and not wanting to send oil vapor and condensate back into my engine.

It's still not as good as true MPI though. so it's still going to buildup more.

even full MPI have carbon buildup. so yeah, a catch can is still going to be very beneficial.
