There are a few guys on here, including myself, that have installed LT headers with cats and are required to pass state emissions. The biggest issue we have is if the tune turns of the rear O2 sensors and kick a readiness code.

It would be intriguing if you could tell us that your tune with the high flow cats would show the O2 sensors in the readiness status. Then we could perform the emissions test without going back to stock tune, which often throughs a check error.

Well we do things differently than most. Actually three different tunes for three different scenarios. Stock exhaust, off road headers with cats and off road headers with no cats.

There are several things we do when going from stock to either versions of off-road setups. There is cat protection modeling that gets modified when aftermarket cats are installed and that stuff gets shut off when going cat less as well as a few other things.

I hope this helps with any questions you had

Ok cause when I called your tuner guy said he just turns off the 02s between cat and no cat. No increased fuel air etc

GREAT LAKES RAPTOR EXCURSIONS

Ok we can't trick the O2's 1 because its against the law and 2 there is no way to do that. But if you get some of the new "green cats" you have the best chance of passing any test your local ordinances you may have. Kooks and American Racing sell those.

I hope this helps

I am the tuner Dan and I know I didn't answer the call. Sorry for the misinformation you received but it must of been one of our sales guy. They are good guys and very knowledgeable but I can see how you received that info. To say there is no difference in Lambda is correct we don't change that for either setup. But we do change several other things I touched on in an earlier post

So there are differences between your non cat long tube tune and your catted long tube tune besides the 02 sensors?

Just a plug for Livernois, i can honestly say Anthony in customer service has been exceptional to work with. After trading my ecoturd in for a real truck, i bought a new 2014 SE. I contacted Livernois about updating my tuner and to my surprise, they are helping me thru the process as i type this, got one more step to go and I'm ready to tune my Raptor.
They could have very easily charged me for this service, but being a stand up company is more important, I'm almost ready to go. Thanks, Livernois!!
