GEN 2 Truck Order Discussion

Thanks for all the advice everyone. I just called my salesman today. She said what I signed was actually just an order and we don't have an agreement on the price yet. I also just called other local ford dealerships for competitive pricing and the best one I got was 3k over MSRP. Hoping to use that as the bartering chip for tomorrow when I go pick it up and sign the final papers. Any other advice or forewarnings?

If you are ordering this late in the model year, I would go for MSRP at the most. Of course that seems to depend on your location....

NEW MSRP DEAL!! A dealer I had previously contacted just contacted me and manager decided to sell at MSRP. They were at $5K ADM last week and I bought elsewhere. 2/9/17 update - got "in order processing" from the factory... still no build date.

I have no idea what that means... I'm guessing that the order is in the queue to be built.

Mentioned my story in a couple of other threads...but quick recap:

Searched months for a MSRP deal with no luck. Found a dealer willing to deal at MSRP but was out of initial allocations and trying to get more. A couple of months passed and received a call from the dealer they had found an allocation/existing order on the "secondary" market but would be $10k over. I passed. Dealer called me back a few days later 1/10/17 that their zone rep was giving them another allocation (your guess is as good as mine). Limits were no CF and no beadlocks....placed the order on 1/11/17 @ MSRP.

Received VIN and Window Sticker today for a 2-15-17 build and estimated delivery of 3-11-17. Seemed pretty quick compared to some of these stories?

Ordered 10/12. Built 2/6. Currently at their body shop for spray-in liner and whatnot.

I never had a Dora or any information. I was "unsceduled/clean" forever. My dealer had been trying and trying to get it scheduled. Had to drop beadlocks. Last week my dealer still could not find out when the order would get pulled and couldn't get any build date info, then all of a sudden she finds that it was built on 2/6.

I ordered 09/13/16. The order was pulled yesterday and I finally got my build "week" and VIN today. The truck is meant to be built the week of 02/27/17. I'm curious what the typical turnaround time is from build date to delivery, aside from the October builds that were sent to truck purgatory for being evil.

Blue S-Crew, 802A, Carbon Fibre, Beadlock, Raptor Accent, and every other option except graphics and ramps.

Ordered 8/15/16. Build 1/18/17. Delivered 2/6/17. Picked up today.

Dealer was true to the MSRP agreed upon with initial order. Was never a question with them.

Epic Ford, Everett, WA. Four allocations and mine was number 2. Last two go to stock and will probably have an ADM.
