I agreed on a price to order the truck. It said "built in my request". Didn't say invoice or anything. After a month or so, they pulled the BL wheels after I gave them permission over phone. Now the truck is being built, but i never signed a new form with the regular wheels and an adjusted price.

What's up everyone, new to the raptor forum and could use some advice. Ordered my 17 lightning blue screw. Should be arriving in a week or two. I had to forego the BL wheels like many of you to get it built. MSRP is 56,000. Dealership told me I'd have to pay 10k over. I call BS on this. What did all of you pay over msrp? I'm hoping I can threaten to walk out the door the day it arrives or no deal. Think it will work?

My truck has been ordered but has not been built, yet I have paperwork showing the vehicle details/options and the sale price (MSRP). Do you not have any paperwork showing the price you agreed to? Did you not agree to a price? If not, they can charge what they want. You can walk, and they'll sell it to someone willing to pay more. On the other hand, if you did agree to a price, particularly if you have the VIN number of the vehicle, I don't think they can jack up the price like that. Certainly there are some slippery dealers out there that become even slipperier when there's an opportunity to make more money, so anything is possible.

I have two sets of paperwork. One was the build order. Which listed 68,000. I did sign that, but I assumed it was just to order the truck and that was the impression I got. I should have been clear about what I wanted. Then they gave me a form that listed my truck with all the options and listed 58,000. Then they sent me the window sticker with the VIN.

Sounds like you signed a contractual agreement to pay 10k over :(

Unless you signed "UCC 1-308" next to your name or it was already on the contract you are likely locked in. You may want to try to go in person, play nice and negotiate a midway ADM so you both have some benefit but you get less screwed....

Ordered 8/17 with CF and BL's. 5K deposit.
Told by my dealer on 11/14 that if I dropped the CF it would be scheduled real soon, so I did.
Scheduled around 11/21 for first week in January, got pushed out to January 23.
Built week of Jan 23. Estimated delivery of Feb 14
Last update by dealer was that it was on a rail just few towns from the dealer and it would be unloaded then shipped by truck to them, that was last week. I ordered from a dealer six hours away to get it at MSRP, following a lead from someone on this forum.
Avalache Screw
802A
Beadlocks
Moonroof
Tech package
Hood graphic
Bed divider
Spray-on bedliner
Taigate applique

I paid (agreed to and put 1k down) on MSRP. After that, I had a different dealership that I had contacted earlier (but didn't have any left to sell) call me, and they said they received another allocation of 2. Said they would let me build and order for 2k under MSRP.

So, 10k over...is ****. Plain and simple.

I am paying MSRP only.

Thanks for all the advice everyone. I just called my salesman today. She said what I signed was actually just an order and we don't have an agreement on the price yet. I also just called other local ford dealerships for competitive pricing and the best one I got was 3k over MSRP. Hoping to use that as the bartering chip for tomorrow when I go pick it up and sign the final papers. Any other advice or forewarnings?

Agree on the price before you leave for the dealer

For those that are opting to order aftermarket beadlocks instead of waiting, which ones did you go with? Thanks
