Was told my wheels were the holdup. I didn't ask for a timeframe. From what I'm reading from some of you on here, we are looking at June because of the beadlock wheels? WTF. I could just as well wait for a 2018.

My dealer just called informing me that Ford is ready to schedule my order. There is an issue as you could guess, and the Sales guy said for my Raptor to get scheduled that I would have to modify the order and eliminate the Carbon Fiber option. Are others hearing or experiencing the same?

If true, I am P!$$ed as why the heck is it even an options if Ford cannot reliably meet demand.

Has anyone else had this experience, and you modified your order and will purchase the Carbon Fiber kit from Ford Parts when available and manually install? Not sure if that will even be an option, so looking for what others have seen and what their plans are.

Thanks!

I've heard/read this from many people. I've also heard that ford does not plan to make the CF parts available for purchase through Ford Parts - not sure if this is true or not.

What I don't understand is why options like beadlock wheels and the carbon fiber kit are holding up delivery due to parts availability. First of all, Ford needs to do a better job of estimating the demand and managing their suppliers to ensure that supply meets demand. Second of all, if supply cannot be scaled to meet the demand, I think Ford should at least offer the option of delivering the truck without the aforementioned option(s) and having the dealer retrofit the parts when they become available. The cost to Ford would be minimal, and is a cost I think Ford ought to bear given their failure to properly manage the supply chain.

I agree with your assessment. Are there any Ford Reps ( @FordService ) monitoring this forum that would be willing to comment or at least willing to discuss with me the situation?

Have you been living under a rock? Lots of people, myself included, have had to drop CF in order to get scheduled.

I dropped CF and added orange accent package and think it was a better decision.

Number have dropped CF, but a few holdouts like me. There is a thread on forum where someone bought CF shifter and dash pieces. It was said for doors you had to order entire panel which is expensive.
