Camping is free. It has other people camping amongst us and I think that is why the runs only go till 10pm. You could leave you stuff but at your liability. Last year at Raptoberfest I set up and went back and forth to a motel. I was in-between two groups that were camping and asked them to keep an eye on my site. Last year at TRR, heard a couple coolers were stolen. Also last year there was a food truck on site and was selling bags of ice.

One thing that is not clear this year if we have to pay $10 per person at the gate? You got a wrist band so you didn't have to pay that every day. @treypal

Good info. It's unfortunate that some feel it's OK to take other people's things. Guess I'll take that info into consideration when figuring out what to leave out versus what to schlep back and forth each day!

Getting excited about TRR15. I looked up Texana Ranch and got a general idea of the amenities/grounds, but could you kind of give an overview of what is onsite versus what people might want to consider bringing on their own? We are staying at local hotel, but plan on bringing a sun awning, chairs, coolers with drink and food, etc., but I was wondering what is going to be available on the grounds in terms of food vendors(if any), etc. We are trailering our Raptor there and will plan to leave it at the site and travel back and forth in the tow vehicle. Are there "camp" spaces where those of us that aren't bringing an RV can stow our trailers and set up an awning (and not have to take down daily)? If all of this is covered in another thread please direct me to it. Thanks!

There is a food trailer on site that is ran by a guy who owns some sonics, so it's sonic burgers and breakfast tacos, but better. Also you get a BBQ meal Saturday night, we have a new BBQ caterer this year and his food is phenomenal, I am really excited about it. There aren't assigned camping spots per say, but once you setup your spot its yours for the weekend. I'd consider at least taking ez ups to the lowest level when you leave since it's west Texas and the wind can goto howling without warning, but otherwise your stuff will be safe. I have never heard of coolers being stolen or drinks being geigered out of them, but coolers tend to get empty and walk away no matter where you are, again it has never been reported to me at a TRR, but I know these things can happen. I feel as a whole your gear will be safe. We're employing a few sheriffs this year to patrol until the wee hours of the morning which should help cut down on riff raff. Last year we had a few guys that were trouble, they got kicked out and asked to not come back.

There will be a$10 per person at the gate fee, this goes to the motorcycle club who manages the pits and clubhouse, something that is out of my control.

I can assure you that your gear will be safe, coolers are like bug lights to drunk people though...

I mentioned the coolers based on this post but then again there is no way to validate the truth in this. I am sorry if I betrayed any wrongdoing. I can tell you that we camped in a tent last year and left our stuff when doing runs and leaving the facilities for gas and had no issues whatsoever.

Nothing like that Rick, I just didn't hear about it. Like I said, I know coolers walk off, I hate for it to happen at my events. Hopefully he was kidding around.

Either way, the event is filled with good people who for the most part respect everyone and their property.

I figured this would be likely. Not too concerned about leaving our stuff out, but you are right that coolers tend to walk off regardless of the event. Good advice about lowering awnings due to the unpredictable West Texas wind. Last time I was in Midland the winds were 40-50MPH. And that was a normal day!

Actually, even if lowered to the lowest setting, they need to be tied down. I watched a guys truck get whacked by one flying around last year.

For sure would tie it down. Light gusts can move those awnings if they aren't tied down. I'd feel terrible if something I left out flew through the air and damaged someone's stuff.

Haha kaiser I saw that same one fly away as well.. In Texas, especially west texas, it's flat and windy there's no way around that.

As for coolers I never heard about any getting stolen and I had both my yeti coolers sitting my out trailer and tent the whole weekend and they were left alone while we styed at the lake house. The only thing I saw was a few guys trying to steal banners off the fence and that's when Corey Jason and I chased them off and took the banners back to trey
