TRR second 2012 event feeler

Thanks for all of the comments guys. I won't go into any details, but we set a price and stuck with it. We didn't have a clue on the response we would get, and what it would take to get this thing together. I can say, IT WAS WELL WORTH IT!

I don't have a price for the next one yet, it will be more, but I don't think it will make anyone think twice. I hope to be able to provide more too. An extra day, more porta-potties, some raptor specific stuff on the track (although it won't be much), more vendors, a meet and greet, etc...

As soon as we have some dates I will definitely be posting them up. It looks like the consensus is an annual event. We may try to do something more regional (aka smaller). But that's still up in the air.

I'd like to see 2 or more of these events per year. Part of the reason I bought this truck was to have fun with it off road and living in TX it can be very difficult to find places to drive these trucks since almost all the land in TX is privately owned.

I vote for June and Sept. as additional dates. With more dates per year it gives the opportunity for more owners to make the RR due to schedules, work, life etc...

Does the ranch just have "open" weekends where you can just show up and drive for the weekend?

I"m getting married and opening a restaurant this fall so things are going to get pretty busy for the rest of the year for me...

Sadly the ranch doesn't have open weekends for trucks. It takes a lot of time to mark the course and take out down the markers, plus insurance and an ambulance.

I am still looking at a smaller event some time this summer though.

I would definitely come this summer, this fall, . . . for a smaller event. Most fun I have had in the truck and I learned a ton. If you need help with anything, just let me know.
