If anyone is interested, I have mapped out a partial off road route to Silverton from Dillion/Leadville area which is not far from Denver.

Maybe Phyguy can chime in since he is local to the area and tell me if I am being overly ambitious with this.

Looks like you can take Hagerman's Pass from Leadville to Aspen which is 50 miles off road. Then either Pearl pass (if another Truck joins me) or Italian creek/reno divide to Crestede Butte 21-27 miles off road. From Crested Butte can then take route 135 to 50 to 550 into Silverton.

I plan on staying the night in Dillion area on Thursday July 11. Then camping or hotel on July 12 in Crested Butte area.

Camping? Hell no! I heard stories about you from last year. Besides if I camp I may get my truck dirty.

I am planning to camp in Lake city. If you are camping in Ouray then I may be down. Don't forget when you get home and get comfortable in your own bed, I will be out on the Kokopelli and then White rim trail in Utah.

Any knowledge of Hagerman's Pass or Pearl Pass?
