There has been some major fires in the creede area. There's a chance that my wife's family may lose their cabin. I'm going to work on some sort of fundraiser during the trip to raise money for the creede(hinsdale county?) fire dept.

Less than a month out. I'm excited!

Here in Colorado we've been watching the fires closely. I was wondering if Creede would be affected by the fires after seeing the fires on the map. This last fire spread incredibly fast over the first 10 hours.

Tell Laura we're hoping her family's cabin survives the fires!

The town of creede looks to be ok. Their cabin is half way between creede and lake city. Right across 149 from the falls.

I thought I understood the plan, but now I'm not so sure. Are we meeting in Silverton on Friday, July 12th? Then the trail run starts Saturday, July 13th in the morning? Day 4 is Tuesday, July 16th?

I re-read the trip info, and it says we don't start trails until July 14th, which is Sunday morning.

Please help the mentally challenged guy figure this out so he can rent a hotel room!

You guys need to make sure where you are going is open. Lot of those trails closed by the forest service. Where I go the fire got within 400 yards of Freemans Guest Ranch on Clear Creek.
