What size thank did yours come with? I got a DOT rated 5 gallon with lots of ports to make the installation easier, but it's quite large and I'm not sure how to fit it in there.

If your not running a spare under the bed Joe, I think that could be a perfect spot for the 5 gallon tank or else inside the bed.

The frame rail area (where I have mine) is good for a 2 gallon tank only, as a 5 gallon tank would hang too low there...

X2. I along with a few other guys bought from James. He is great to deal with and will assist you in finding the perfect system for your needs.

I don't have any pictures currently, but I mounted my 5 gallon tank ABOVE the spare. IT barely fits. I have two compressors tucked up mounted on the sides of the frame towards the rear. It's all very sneaky and protected. It doesn't look immaculate, but it's solid and works great. No one can see it anyway, and I can even reach the tank's drain plug from the wheel well (if you know exactly where to reach). I used a tank that doesn't have its own feet/mounts - only way it would fit, and used metal strapping to get it up there.

I have a quick disconnects in the front and rear for airing up, as well as a train horn tucked into the bumper. It's all pressure-switch regulated at 150psi with the main control running to Aux 4. I used Aux 3 to "arm" my train horn. In other words, without it flipped, I have a normal horn. With it flipped, it's train horn time.

Here's a pic of the installation of my rather "pedestrian" tank and compressor on the passenger's side frame:

No longer must I rely on the mousy stock horn at critical occasions. (and some not-so-critical occasions)

what bracket are you talking about?
I recently ordered the 540 kit from James at Alternative Offroad. Great guy, very helpful.

Like Big Blue stated, the kit will also be used as on board air.

I'd like to see how people have installed the air tank.

For the compressor, I also bought the mounting bracket for $23.

Once I do the install, I'll post photos.
