I work for a boat dealership here in Orlando. Obviously, as part of my job, I have to tow boats fairly often...part of the reason I bought the Raptor. Problem I'm having is that the surge brakes on the trailers won't override when I put the truck in reverse. Yes, I've put the extra relay and fuse in. Yes, I've put the truck in "Tow/Haul" mode. Yes, I've tried turning the truck's running lights on. I can't back up. And for reference, my boss's Expedition has no problem.

Any advice?

If I remember right, isn't the surge override controlled by the B/U lights? if the B/U lights aren't in the 7 way it isn't going to work. I would see what terminal does what in the Expedition.

From what I can see, there is no setting for surge brakes. They give you an option for "Electric" or "Electric Over Hydraulic". I've tried both without the fuse and relay. Maybe I need to try both with the fuse and relay installed?

Yes, the brakes should be overriden with the B/U lights...or so I thought. They seem to be wired correctly, but a comparison with the Expedition is a good idea.

Take your multi meter and see what you have on the Expedition, then wire your plug the same.
