Forscan to add R Mode & Trail Turn Assist?

I can take some. Just looks like a 2022 IPC. I can share the forscan changes and you can try but i'm not certain it will. If the below changes do not work then you would have to update files on a few modules that are from a 2022 build. So they arent exactly easily accessible and take about 7...

Had a 17 Rap and never used it nor did I know anything about it…til now. I was just as skeptical. After making the first change successfully (eliminating the double honk), it was off to the races. Just be sure to 1) back up the modules “before” you makes changes so that you can always revert back to original settings if need be and 2) double check & triple check the module you’re about to change ensuring you’re changing the right one. Everything else is easy, just follow the prompts. There’s a whole tutorial, w/ videos, explaining how to use Forscan.

Long story short, it’s a piece of cake.

thx. this time I may have the dealer do it if they know how to by now. because they still have to get the fan noise from the on board gen. fixed. they should be able to. its listed as being available. at least in the info ive seen. why its not there is weird to me.

ive been doing more reading. it said trail turn was not available with blue cruise. is that the reason MY21 didn't have the trail assist turned on since my truck was prepped for the blue cruise and I got the refund. that was overlooked and now it needs to be turned back on since we cant use blue cruise anyway. could this be an issue to activate now.

It is unrelated to bluecruise. Trail turn was never activated for 21s or marketed, but the software is there. Who knows why it wasn't activated, maybe it didn't complete testing or had bugs - we will probably never know.

Your dealer will not be able to activate this for you. Forscan is just some independent software (I think Russian?) that allows access to modules to make changes. Not really OK'd by Ford.
