I just did the same exact thing. Had an Evo X that I bought brand new, and ended up selling it to get a Raptor. I miss a few things about the Evo, but if you still have a 9 you wont look back.

Welcome....that's quite a jump from the whole Evo scene to the baddest of the bad in pickups. If your head is around a TOTALLY different driving and ownership experience from beginning to end, you came to the right place. My suggestion is to rent a full size pickup (not a Jeep), 4x4 preferably, for a week or weekend, drive the shit out of it and see if you can deal with the handling, size, parking, overall experience. You dont want to LOVE owning a Raptor for what it is and HATE driving it because it's a truck....

Oh, and see you at the lake, Wakeskate.

And I happen to be lesbian....but trapped in a mans body.

thats sick! I ride cable mostly, theres a park local that i used to ride almost every day at. I got some pretty gnarly stuff down, booting everything 12+ feet in the air. indy tantrums and fs/bs 3's and 5's. working on 7's I tore my meniscus when my heel side edge caught at a 90* angle, effectively ejecting me from my slingshot bindings that are NOT supposed to release your feet. also got a slight concussion from the whiplash. After that slam I couldnt ride for months, and haven't really gotten back into it seriously... ill probably get back in it this year

Avoid rasco if gay scares you!!

The evo was a great car… bought it new 8 years ago and I enjoyed the hell out of it… But change of scenery has dictated something a bit different… so I went Raptor… haven't looked back. :) Enjoy.

I've been anticipating this change for a while... i just didn't want to choose an evo to sell. I had an evo 8,9, and 10 and had the hardest time choosing to either keep the X or 8.... and I kept the 10 because I just put a built tranny in.

did you mod it at all? I'm about to set it back to stock and sell or trade, but FML these cars dropped insanely this last year. Trade in on edmunds is 16 ******* K.

I have about 5k in salvageable performance parts that ill be pulling and selling. Cams, titanium exhaust, piping, ****** intercooler, o2 housing.... it was ready for a built engine and larger turbo for sure. I managed to squeeze out over 420hp on 93 which really surprised me, didn't even tune on e85 after that, the tune I did before was 430 on e85 so I'm thinking it can do 450+.... on the stock turbo.... pushing 34psi

Its a nice platform but I honestly got it mainly for the cruise control lol. And it seems owning two evos is the way to go because one is always down for some reason...

thanks for the welcomes though dudes. hopefully i can afford this 2014 I just ordered. Im technically unemployed but I do a lot of ebay hustling of iPhones and related stuff.. Plus it cheaper to insure than the x

but I'm STILL ******* UNSURE about Terrain vs Black. Dealer tells me I have up to a week after the order is pulled to change the color... and theres no local terrains to check out in person. Im pissed

I modded it, but didn't touch the internals: ef2, full exhaust, downpipe, intercooler/piping, volks, doluck trunk lid, kw v3s. On a dyno which reads around 220 stock, I was making 420sh on e85. Car was a blast, but at the same time was always missing something my '93 rx-7 had. I sold mine with 28k miles on it for 28k without the do luck lid. If I was you I'd put it back to stock, and make a bit more money. If I was more patient I could have gotten around 33k for everything parted out I think.

You'll love the truck! I haven't had a chance to push it at all, but am planning a few trips to NV to have some fun.
