decisions decisions even with a blower 0-60 is still a hair over 5 seconds. Not to mention I will lose some reliability going that route

I have a 2012 Camaro 6.2L built to 600hp at the crank that I’m debating to sell because I can’t find time for it.

The raptor is great because it’s not only a head turner, but has power, utility, and can be a true daily driver. The overall package.

So I spent years building the sports car....to realize all I wanted was the raptor.

As the owner of what I assume is the fastest vehicle on this site (yes that incudes you liter bike folks) I can tell you that what you're after are two completely different things. If I lived somewhere that wasn't an island 30 miles out to sea (Nantucket MA) I would drive the vette on a daily basis. BUT....as far as practicality for real life purposes, you can't beat the Raptor.

So....I have both.

If anyone is seriously looking for a very very fast yet completely docile toy, you might want to look at my car. Its currently on the market.

I'd have a GT350 before a vette.

I have been craving speed again as well. The 5.4 Raptor sounds the part and gets around pretty good but the Cayenne turbo it replaced was stupid fast in comparison. Not going back that route though.

I can't get excited about a new Vette. I have settled on a '13-14 GT500. 662hp stock. My step son runs an '03 Terminator Mustang built to 750hp, it is a hilariously entertaining ride. After that upgrade then a '13-14 Raptor with blown 6.2. With the high altitude around here I really need those superchargers....

No way I would ever go Tacoma, don't even say that around me. My boss is a Tacoma freak. I have been stuck driving them and hate those horrible little soulless appliances. Yes, I know they are tough and have stupid good resale. I would never own one though, especially as a daily driver. You could die of bland poisoning.

Good Luck

Yeah if you can swing the cost and keep the Raptor and get a used GT500 that would be awesome. I had a 2012 Grand Sport and it was a fun car, but you get bored with it fairly quickly.

I replaced the Vette with a 2014 M6 and that was by far the fastest car I have ever driven. It made my Vette look like a kids toy. It couldn't turn to save its life it was so heavy, but straight line it was scary fast.

So it's come to the point where I've been Craving a lot more speed but I still need a truck, so I've been pondering trading in my gen 1 for a z06 and a basic small truck, think older ranger or Tacoma. Or keeping the gen 1 and buying a super charged 5.0 2015 whippled mustang. Anyone who has owned a z06 or blown mustang or a gen 1 care to chip in with their own experience of these vehicles. Thanks once again guys
I purchased a Z06 after selling my Raptor, and also bought a Tacoma. Basically exactly what you're thinking haha. The Z06 is flat out awesome. They really knocked it out of the park with the C7. The Tacoma is functional, but that's about it. If it weren't so damm underpowered it might be better.
