Hi guys, you want to laugh, follow this link (under) and see what's the price for a "regular" Raptor in France (Paris) I's crazy, and for that price you have already 600 miles on it and only 4 places bcs if the truck is announced 5 places you have to pay an incredible" ecotax" which (about 30M€) which is not included on this price... Happy to have bought mine two years ago in Florida...
my uneducated ass assuming French people liked/allowed vehicles like this in the country..... this made my day.

What these manufacturers say they want to do and what happens, will be two different things. Has a single person learned what a liability "just in time" inventory systems are? Running inventory that close is incredibly challenging, and I can promise you they are not capable of doing it. Assuming supply chains normalize, things will go back to the way they were. Do you know how many incremental sales occur because the vehicle is on the lot? All it will take is one of the manufacturers to start producing and moving vehicles. If I had to wait months, and even that has not been certain, I would go buy something similar that was in stock same day. Thats how things work, unless you have a monopoly. Tons of TRX trucks were sold to those waiting on Raptors.

I didn't claim that Ford should go with this model, just that Ford claimed they were going to. I can't speak to how well Ford can manage their inventory, and only have some idea of the costs dealerships have in maintaining a lot. I 100% agree with you regarding sales off the lot. Personally, I want to test drive a model first, preferable the model I'm going to own. I would be ok with waiting I think, but since I've never paid MSRP or more for a vehicle in my life, I was not looking forward to that, and quite possibly would have looked elsewhere.

I'll most likely be going through with the trade for the tax benefit, as well as not having to deal with people annoying me with negotiation. It seems my dealer is on par with where the market is so I can't fault them for the lower offer.

Plan to pick up the 23 37 PP Saturday.

Give carmax a try. I was in a similar boat as you last week with my 21 Tacoma. Dealer was offering me 32k, went to carmax and got 37.

New here, but back in November I paid $59k from a dealer for a '19 802A with 42k miles. It was a trade in so I can only imagine what they gave for it. I see a lot of squabbling over a few $k's but hardly any concern for that 12% interest I know some of you are paying lol.

If the gen2 market is depreciating th is fast it makes it much more of an attractive option than gen3. I’ll take a 2019 in low 50s over a brandnew one in mid 80s
Brand new you’re lucky to get at $90k, at least for the 37 package. The new Gen is also $10-15k more on sticker than the Gen 2 was to begin with, creating more of a gap between the models in price.

ehhhhhhhh. There are some pretty huge differences
Agreed. Interior alone is night and day difference. Suspension is a beautiful adjustment from the Gen 2. Then there is the sounds and independently controlled steering / suspension / exhaust.

Add on the tech changes on cameras, bigger screen, etc. it’sa noticeably different truck and feels much more comfortable than the Gen 2.

Don’t get me wrong, I loved my Gen 2. The truck was amazing, but the Gen 3 is a perfect mix of luxury and truck combined.
