Well that’s your loss, you bought a product that is inferior in every regard. Thanks for your support of a foreign company over American workers.

They pay Walmart wages and throw in low “bonuses” to make workers feel like they’re getting less screwed. You clearly no nothing about unions; no factories are being “shut down”, in fact Ford is building a massive new manufacturing campus in Tenessee and adding 11,000+ new jobs. Toyota is building a subpar product by exploiting American labor and hauling billions in profit out of this county, at which point they use the exchange rate to unethically rake in even more profit.

But you support that, right?

Funny how all of the reviews disagree with everything you just stated. You were the guy who claimed you used to drive your Subaru under water…enough said on that.

As far as resale value, Raptor is has higher resale than any Toyota product. And nobody is losing “40-50k” in resale on a 5 year old Raptor, mine is 4 years old and I can almost get what I paid for it. Why are you so brainwashed by foreign companies? You need to wake up and stop believing propaganda.

Yep they love them the blue states, got keep it that way you know for the unions and all. The D's thank you for your support.

Toyota went to San Antonio and bought a ranch to build trucks on. So, they don't pay 100-200 percent what the average wage for the area is but they pay 50 percent more. They have bonuses and other opps to make more money. Plus they get to live in nicer, safer areas of the country. I think any one purchasing an American made foreign vehicle is supporting American workers. People who perform and produce deserve their wages those that don't and want to hang on deserve pink slips not a UAW boss telling them what will happen.

It’s not political. It’s about good wages and benefits for middle class Americans. Ford and GM have plants in the south, including Kentucky, Missouri, Kansas, Tenessee, and Texas. Your theories aren’t adding up.

Toyota bought land in Texas because it was cheap and they could get away with paying low wages to maximize their profits. The pay is not comparable to US owned manufacturing plants.

You’re trying to justify foreign transplant companies like toyota paying Americans fast food wages and then claim buying the product “supports those people”. What you’re supporting is a lower standard of living for Americans and billions of dollars in profit flowing out of this country to Japan. And those are just the blue collar jobs, you’re also supporting higher paying white collar jobs in Japan instead of those in your own country.

You bought the worst in class pickup on the market from a foreign company for the price of a Gen 3 Raptor. There’s nothing logical about that on any level.

Yep, I bought a piece of junk. Thanks for letting me know and it is so vastly inferior to the mighty F150 I should just throw it in the river.

If you don't think the UAW is political then you aren't very smart and haven't paid attention. If you think that the UAW hasn't forced American plants to close and move then you have not been paying attention. Rams closed their Missouri plant displacing how many jobs and people. Moved to Mexico. Ford is the only domestic vehicle producer that has stuck with that model. You are dreaming if you think the workers who put the Toyota Tundra together are making fast food wages. As far as the rest, the TRD Pro and offroad packaged Limiteds and above are 5-10k less than Raptors.

No one in this country owes any one a standard of living at all. You have that wrong, you WORK and create your own standard of living. I tend to buy things I like not what someone else tells me to be. I have kicked this dead mule long enough. The OP made the right decision for himself. I love my Tundra and for me it worked out better than the Gen 2 Raptor I sold.

That is so 2022. The government overlords passed a bill saying that if you have good credit you GET TO pay more mortgage fees to help those less fortunate than you. You also get penalties for too big of a down payment.

Work ethic is just about dead in this Country. It has been replaced with entitlement.

Read the professional reviews. It’s not just here. It’s received poor reviews across the board.

I’m not the one who came on here and claimed to have an amphibious Subaru, or the one who traded a Gen 2 Raptor for a POS tundra. I’d watch who you are calling “not very smart”.

Proving once again that you have no idea what you’re talking about. GM moved production of the Silverado back to 2 US plants. Ram moved 1500 series production back to the US. Ford moved F-650/750 to Ohio from Mexico. This is all over the past few years. All 3 are investing massively in the US, especially with EVs.

You are dreaming if you think the workers who put the Toyota Tundra together are making fast food wages. As far as the rest, the TRD Pro and offroad packaged Limiteds and above are 5-10k less than Raptors.
I must be dreaming then. Because that’s what they earn. With crap benefits and no profit sharing. Stop trying to act like you’re doing anyone a favor.

Thanks for demonstrating that you don’t understand basic economics. It affects everyone, including you. So congrats on contributing to a lower standard of living in this country.

Fordtech always has to have the last blast, I haven’t contributed to anything other than buying a truck that I like and want to own.

I get free oil changes for 25k miles, a 7 year 100k mile warranty standard, a 150k 10 year warranty is optional, 80 dollar premium fill ups, less insurance less taxes. It might be less truck but I like it and all that matters is if I like something. I don’t owe Ford crap since I have bought tons of their products before. I’m sure I will buy them again.

Toyota employees are paid quite well to assemble these and they look happy. Have performance metrics that makes them more money they average 65k a year and that is a great middle income salary. So they might not make the 75-80k of a uaw employee but they have videos of them producing in that facility and they look happy. All companies have issues these days but saying a truck which is produced in America, has more American content in it then any other truck is just dumb.
