You mean the circa 2006.5 retro model w/ a V8 that makes about the same power as Ford's smallest 1/2 ton offering 2.7 while also delivering nearly 1/2 the gas mileage & less payload/towing capacity???? OH yeah baby sign me right the F up!!!

Toyota is pathetic - I have no experience in mechanical engineering but FOR SURE could beat whomever they got running that dept out of a job.....cuz where I'm sitting they haven't done a damn thing in 15 years!!!!

My wife drives a 2013 LX570 we’ve had since new. Man, it’s just one of the best built vehicles on the planet. If you’re willing to consider an SUV, you could look at used versions of either the LX or Landcruiser. Would make a good stopgap vehicle until the new Raptor comes out.

I figured you all were joking but yeah, I would not buy a Japanese truck.

The F350 is nice as well or you could go all out mailman style and get an F650

Hahaha that’s one way of looking at it!! I like the raptor cuz it’s an extreme machine but has lots of usefulness too

one of the best examples of that would also be a 4 door wrangler....or one of my all time favs- E63 AMG wagon or RS6 Avant!!

Funny you mentioned the Jeep. I have the F-350 Platty, Raptor and JL. Although the SD isn’t a Tremor it’s a GREAT truck. The 6.7 is a great engine. Mines an 18 so not the new engine and trans but still runs like a beast. If I had to pick between the SD and Raptor it would be a toss up. Glad I don’t have to. Lol. Probably lean towards the SD. It really is a great truck and they run sooooo good with the 6.7. If you haven’t had one, go for it. Something new. Your F350 Platty doesn't appear to have stock suspension. What changes did you make? The F350 already sits higher than most pickups, and even higher than the F250 with the bigger stock block in the rear.

Just a leveling kit. Air bags on rear to keep it level when hooked to trailer.

BT, Having owned a Tundra, Tacoma, two F250s and my current Raptor I've formed my own jaded Truck Chat opinion.
With a million miles between the two Toyota's and F250s, they're all great trucks, the Tacoma TRD pro being an unsung hero off-road. (I've pulled more than one Jeep out of the mud!)
Yeah, yeah I know what you're thinking...TRD Prius
That said, my Dad had one of these I drove a lot back in the day. Why not buy a classic, truly bulletproof truck built like a tank with no check engine light or techno-issue buckets installed...

I went 3/4 ton route on my last truck and I hated it. Handles like shit, drive like shit, rides like a dump truck. Great when a trailer was hooked up or had a ton of pellets in the bed, sucked in every other aspect. If I needed to tow heavier than what a Raptor can handle then I think a diesel Tremor would get a close look. The Raptor is just so fun to drive every other second that I am not towing something, I would have a very hard time giving that up.
