Top hat and shock bucket are two different things, (just to be clear).

The factory Top has rubber components, (I don't know what SDI has) the Fox FRS has a solid aluminum top hat with a heim joint.

All the shock buckets in the dirty of road video that are cracked show Fox FRS solid top hats, so it would appear that if the factory top hat is strengthened the factory shock bucket becomes the next weak link.

I have to think, hard bottoming out or over extension is the root cause.

Question for all of you, when I was doing my level kit, the shop said if you are only looking to get level and keep shocks stock, just run the spacers, won't change geometry. This was 3 years ago on a 2019. Fast forward, the rear runs +2 deavers and bump stops, tires are 37" Nitto. I have done 3 Baja runs, Mojave trails, and a few more Desert days.

Should I be concerned the front shock mounts?

Any feedback on the @foutz top hat ring offered to strengthen bucket?
