It won't stay like this for more than a few days and a couple miles. I really was just bored and needed something to do. But on this topic. I've heard both sides to this. Some say its such a minor change that it won't be a big deal. Others say what you just said.

I'll admit I have no clue. So, will the plus one deaver screw up the pinion angle as well seeing it lowers the truck?

Eh. went out and did a quickie measurement and it looks like the block is the same height front and back (2 3/4in) so its not going to do anything.. you'll be ok... You can measure the block better than I can since yours is off...

Just measured the blocks. They are about 2 3/4 on the backside, and about 2mm shorter on the frontside. Do you think this will be an issue?

that block is how the rear pinion angle is set. Since the during assembly process of the axle when they weld the spring seat on its much harder to control that process so they set it with different height blocks. You might not like to hear this and you will get a lot of different opinions but, its 2mm shorter for that angle. Sure, you might get 10 or 20 or 30k but that bearing will wear and it will start singing... I only did this for 35 years or so, so I might be a bit rusty...

Don't mind hearing this at all. I'm not an expert by any means so I value people like you who know what they are talking about. This may sound like a crazy idea, but what if someone was to pull the rear block and make shims towards the rear to mimic the 2mm height increase of the factory blocks?

A shim will work fine. Just make the taper the same as the block. 2mm's shorter on the front. I really cant see a problem if the back part of the shim was say 3mm and the front was 1mm. Just dont put something in the back to raise it up. You do not want a gap in there at all so, the shim should be a solid piece.
