My large Ford Dealership said four months max on a new order is what they are seeing. South east
That's not what I've seen here at all, most people don't even get scheduled for a couple months, then build dates are a few more. months and then depending on chips and parts, average is another couple months. There are people waiting since last June 01.

Why wait, get that order in ASAP. I placed my order Nov. first and got a notice from Ford about three weeks ago giving me a build week of Feb 21st, and three days ago got an update of Feb 14th, a week sooner. So probably another month waiting for it to be shipped. So if you wait for the 2023 it will probably be another year and a half.
Good luck whatever you decide.

So at what point do you hold off for the Raptor X with V-8...? They are saying 23’ at dealer, but nothing out yet. SC 5.0 or 5.2, price, etc. but if waiting until until 23’ anyway- I may hold off until more on the next version is out. Typical Ford to make very slight changes before a whole new platform is out. Gen. 3 is pretty much a gen 2. Gen 4 seems like the big change. I still love my current Raptor so not in as much hurry as some. But at some point a Raptor 37 with SC v8 may be worth the wait if you like your current truck is all I am saying.

I'v never had a Raptor before so I'm excited to get one. Like you said since you have a Raptor you are in no hurry. Even if that V8 comes out...what do you think the price is going to be? Dealerships are ready to put that extra premium ADM (lol) on that for sure! If 37 Raptors are going for 120-130k, that V8 is going to be a pretty hefty price to pay!

That is true. Price Ford in Port Angeles has stuck with MSRP then adds a few dumb items like dealer installed stuff on it and destination charge, etc. but nothing crazy. The MSRP also helps with dealers like that because I have seen people not even take ownership of new truck and sell for much more. Crazy times, and I don’t know how to navigate them. I was just saying that if you have a good dealer to work with, it MAY be worth the discussion. I am getting the v8 37 Raptor, but not paying more than MSRP plus the dealer small fees (unless they give me a crazy amount for my Raptor that offsets all that).

If you have a good dealership you trust is fine. Some dealers say MSRP and then change their mind when the truck arrives. I live in TX and I have a 5k ADM but maybe can get it at MSRP since I bought an explorer from them. I will see if I can get it reduced or something.

So the best deal in my mind for an amazing Raptor is to first get in the game and have a ton of smiles is a 17-20 30-70k mile Gen 2 for ~55-65 and honestly- most of us can’t drive these to their limits nor need more hp/tq. It becomes a ‘I want the newest and best’ typical 1st world problem. If you don’t have a Raptor, just get in the game and enjoy. Just my 2 cents. I need a newer, more powerful Raptor like I need another *******. But, well, I can’t help but to **** the wife off... lol
