Thx for the input everyone. I was at it all day with Southeast Raptor group and funny thing is my tire pressure gauge exploded as I was airing down the 1st tire LOL so I ended up running 36 all the way around as that was what my display said. It worked out fine. Next time I will be better prepared and test out a few runs with different pressure. It was mostly sand. Not too deep. Averaged about 30 mph. Went as high as 60 and got a little air too. I am hooked! I’ll try to post a few pics and video.

you can geta a really small compressor that plugs into your lighter socket

Most of the lighter socket compressors are far too weak to handle the demands of airing up larger tires. Adding a little air to small passenger car tires is just fine. Refilling one from scratch, no problem. Adding a little air to top off a Raptor tire, sure.

But if you are trying to add 5 or more psi to 4 tires, don't count on it.

Get a Viair 440p: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000X9BXQS/?tag=fordraptorforum-20

Also get an ARB deflator: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004LQCDOA/?tag=fordraptorforum-20

Best bang for your buck out there IMO.

Viair has no issues inflating my 37s up from 15 to 38. Takes around 9-10 minutes is my guess. For $275 it's tough to pass up, if you want to go all out, go with an ARB twin portable or a PowerTank.

I would go the PowerTank route if you live near an AirGas or somewhere with easy access to fill. I'll go that route next.

I have never blown a bead and have gone down to 10 on non beadlock rims on my Jeep. The Raptor is heavier, but I have still gone down to 12 for rock crawling and have not had any problems. On normal desert trails (rough dirt roads), I use 17 in front and 15 in back. I do have an air compressor, so I do not drive very far on paved roads without airing up. I do agree with zombiekiller that experimenting is a good thing. Just don't be too worried about going down into the teens if it suits you. I do it more for comfort than traction, unless I am in sand or rock.

If you're dropping that low on 35s, what compressor are you using to fill back up? I have a cheap one that worked fine with my 4Runner but I'm a little worried it's going to crap out on me if I try to get it to fill up all four tires on the Raptor
