Cutouts are great for the street but after only 7 months I destroyed mine! I drive about 70% on road and 30% off but the kit I had just couldn't handle the beating I had the badlanz kit and it was great till the motor fell off the cutout! Haha so I just took off te butterfly valve and motor and let it dump out!

Same experience here. I contacted Badlanz and they told me to bend something or other to stop it from rattling. Suffice it to say I was a little underwhelmed by their "warranty". It doesn't rattle when its open so I pretty much just leave it there unless I go on a long freeway drive where I can't hear the rattle when it's closed anyway.

I'd say my cutout just sits open 95% of the time anymore. I may as well just straight pipe my truck.

It's pretty funny when you realize the Hennessey cutout is just a QTP cutout that cost $200

I love their quote.

"With Quick Time electric cutouts, you can have the best of both worlds--they're quiet for the street, and wide open for the strip."

I know I take mine to the strip all the time.....:emotions34:

They're only quiet until they get that fun little rattle that's impossible to fix, then "quiet mode" turns into "hoopty mode" really friggin quick.

QTP makes really nice cutouts, the remote wireless controller is great for the WOW effect! The included "stub" makes it easier to install requiring less fabrication. The oval version offers extra ground clearance when needed.

I haven't seen a brand yet that could make one that doesn't have problems after a year or so. They all seem to eventually leak, rattle, or the motor siezes....badlandz, QTP, DMH, etc..... all included
