How do you reset KAM and what does KAM stand for?

I don't need to do this but am curious.

Also I have the UPR complete system passenger and drivers side and haven't thrown any codes yet with approximately 3,000 miles on it.

They've changed the design of the divers side ECCS and includ a new sensor which had Ford tags on it.

I also purchased the breather in case the system would ever freeze up. In the winter.

Yeah, I called UPR and the guy was telling me all about the ECSS. Luckily, my light hasn’t come back on and haven’t needed it. See MPTs article to explain a KAM reset.

"Keep Alive Memory" Between the PCM, BCM and Nav, there are a few chips that retain some settings.

A battery disconnect for 15 minutes +/- will reset that.

This is different than clearing codes using a OBDII scanner.

Only a Tune flash will reset permeant error codes stored on the PCM.

Newbie question here what do the catch cans do for performance? And do you need both? CCV & PCV? I’ve been reading about tuning my M5s (ttv8) for many years and never heard of this.

I have nearly 40k on my 17SCREW with the UPR dual valve catch can and it's never thrown any errors. 15-20k of that was bone stock, and the rest has been with an accessport.

My ‘17 just threw this code a few days ago. Changed out the PCV pressure sensor and the hose it’s attached to thinking that would solve with no luck. Running UPR catch can and Cobb Stage 2+. Catch can has been installed for the last 30k miles with no issues. Checked connections and there’s some oil residue on the left side of motor near where the hoses attach to crank case which leads me to believe one of the connections is leaking. But I don’t see any loose or obvious leaks there. Not sure what to do at this point other than disconnect catch can all together and see what happens. Or order new hoses. Maybe after so long the fittings or O-rings get bad and they leak.

any advice appreciated.

Reseat hoses, install EFI clamps, reset codes and see what happens?
