Third brake light

If you buy it online like from Tasca and save some money, would they not warranty it if it fails in 2 years?

...I have asked them to purchase the part and will pay the $175. I fully expect the third break light to stop working again before the two years is up and will save some money in the long run if it stops working before the two year warranty expires.

Let me know what your thoughts are and if what I have been told is accurate...
