Like I said in my original post, I'm not looking to get into something else. I have other vehicles. Was wondering what everyone else was seeing as far as current market.

Figure I'd cash out towards the top. Then later after this settles down with all the chip shortages and Covid, I might get back into another Raptor.

The question becomes with the xisjdsjdlkjflfjdljflkdsfjds variant, will this ever end?

If you’re in no rush to get back into a Raptor, have plenty of other (fun) things to drive, then sure, seems like a good time. I do think the peak may have passed but we’ll see.

I'd sell my 17 if it weren't such a pain in the ***. Sure I can get more than I paid for it. But I still need some sort of vehicle, and prices are up across the board, and I happen to dig it. I'm just not a fanboy.

so other than driving something different, when all is said and done the money I'd be making is negligible, so why bother.

this is also the problem in housing market (at least where I’m at in MA) market already high in this area relative to rest of the country, but essentially highest it’s ever been, at the same time demand is also as good as it’s been, bidding wars on almost any decent property, other than low rates not a lot to brag about. So I may be able to sell my house for more than ever before- but where am I gonna go? Whatever Id buy will be rushed into & probably go for over asking so I’d be swapping one overpriced asset for another.

not exactly apples to apples but did remind me of it a bit

I agree. And say the same thing about the housing market here.

Fact is it's just not a great time to be buying houses or cars. give it a year

Would you sell that house if you already had a second house?

Maybe depends upon what you want to do? No one can make that determination but yourself. Especially strangers on an internet forum.

I see lots of people dumping their vehicles right now while they can get out of them good. You will not be able to replace it, and will probably kick yourself every time you see one.

I also Have a 2017 with only 18k on it. I don't use it much because it's my 3rd ride. I was thinking of selling it. it's has all options, Cobb stage 2, Ford/Borla exhaust etc...

Depends on what I could finagle w/ the tax implications….that being said, as far as taxes go, probably anything you do now will be better off than what we’ll be facing in a year or Two that’s for sure

And lastly If I still had a 2nd property/rental like I used to I’d be giddy as hell to sell
It right now & take some nice profit, I sold one 3-4 years ago made out well- def would’ve been more profit if I sold today however i already know bout dead beat renters took me nearly a year to get some out prior to selling & that was BEFORE the president was telling people they didn’t need to pay rent & people got paid to stay at home & do nothing

I’d dump a condo/apt type rental the minute I could right now b/c of this scenario, a vacation air Bnb type rental id be more apt to hold

Keep in mind what you are saying you would “make money”. USD are worth less and have much less buying power than 1 year ago, plain and simple. If you don’t need the vehicle and you aren’t particularly emotionally attached then any time is a good time to sell financially.
