Found something new last night. Yesterday was the first time I’ve driven my truck at night, and I couldn’t figure out why the hell the cup holders wouldn’t light up. Low and behold in the settings menu there is a tab called “Ambient Lighting” which controls these lights and a few others inside the truck.

Also since you get 2 keys each one is programmable. so seat settings etc are all based on the key you use!!

so I haven’t done too much experimenting yet. But I THINK this only works if you use the key fob to unlock the doors. My wife and I just use the keyless door handle method. And I haven’t notice the seats move based on who touched the driver door handle to unlock.

I've seen a few videos of car drivers busy with their mobile phones and then crash into the stopped traffic ahead of them

Back in the 1990’s motorcycle safety foundation class showed videos to you of common crashes and one was where the car didn’t see you stopped. The moral of that video was don’t be lazy at stop lights, stay in gear, clutch in. decades later, that video saved my bacon. I spied some nitwit in my mirrors thinking to myself “oh $hit, he’s not going to stop” by the time I was thinking $hit, I was launching the bike in between the cars in front of me.

The guy 4 wheel locked to a stop literally a foot from the rear bumper of the car I was behind. My bike would’ve been totaled, and I’d have been hurt, and likely not walking away.

So no, the skunker isn’t effective in all situations, but can get you some following distance if you need it.

Ok..... well I wanted to change the color because I thought if I did I would be able to see it more but I guess I am just expecting more than what is available since I am use to the ambient lights is my wife's Audi Q8.

I had no idea my raptor even had them .

Thanks everyone for participating in this. I learned today that pushing the button on the side of the shifter displays the gears on the dash.

That video was pretty good. One thing he didn't talk about with the seats....you can set them so they automatically move all the way back when you shut off the truck to help with exiting....it's in the dash display.

I found the jack the other night and got the backrest on the passenger side rear seat to lower, but it looks like the driver's side is fixed, unless I'm missing something.

I also thought my insurance was going to rocket from my 2016 Canyon to the 19 Raptor, but it didn't go up much at all.

I got my Bakflip installed and the AMP running boards. The AMP's split the distance between the truck floor and ground, almost exactly. Being old and fat with rebuilt knees, the AMP's are perfect. I sold the OEM running boards for $175 three days later. Personally, I think the AMP's really look great, as they're hidden when not in use.

I've done a little bit of wiring to add some tow equipment to the truck, as it will be towed behind my motor home. For the life of me, I still can't find the Upfitter wiring under the hood. I have some fog lamps on order.

One other item my dealer showed me, if you're ever in a collision where the truck is still drivable, but won't start, it means the fuel pump disconnect engaged. There is a description the owner's manual to turn it back on. In my Manual it's page 327.

Again....thanks for responding….I learned some good things.

I just found that a few days ago also, when I was exploring the menus.
