No way in hell I'd let my wife drive around in a $15k car. :whymewhyme:

What year/trim is your 911? Any pics? I really like the 997 S...a blast to drive.

i have an 83 911sc row with cam's, ignition and sport muffler.

as far as not having your wife drive in a $15k car is that just more of a status thing or what? values of cars drop but, their safety and reliability dont.

Again this was her thinking completely. I sold my regular daily driver in order to save up for a bigger down payment on the truck and was looking more towards the fall of being a new owner. She is the one that suggested just selling or trading her car in on a $15k rig and putting the rest $8-10K more down on the truck in addition to the money ive already saved up (so basically only financing $20k-ish). Im perfectly fine with her keeping her rig if she wants, hell its got 55k miles on the warranty, the rear tv screen still has the plastic on it since weve never used it.

Welp we said good bye to our 07 armada last night and replaced it with an 05 outback limited wagon. Test drove a bunch of suv's she like the lexus rx and nissan murano but, was under impressed with the difference in mpg's between the armada's 12.9mpg and the 16mpg the others were getting. I suggested maybe an s4 wagon, wrx wagon or an outback and her face just showed how unwelcome the idea of her driving a wagon was and said okay i guess we can look. Looked at 1 outback, test drove another with a sand exterior and tan leather interior and she actually liked it alot other then the color combo and we actually almost got it, i told her if its not the color combo she wants then there is no point in getting it especially since were not in any hurry to get a car. Yesterday morning i was on my way back from the gym and stopped at a local lot that we diddnt go to and low and behold they had a silver with black leather 05 outback limited with dual sunroof and cold weather package for $15500 (spot on to what she told me she wanted).

We got $21,250 on trade for our armada and got the outback for $14,500 and should have our refund check next friday :). I wasnt aware that you only paid tax on the actual sale of the car so we diddnt have to pay anything which i thought was pretty cool but, with the the liscensing and other bs **** our check is gonna be for $6500 :).

We also sold our gap insurance (back dated to last july when we paid it off) and our extended warranty back to the nissan dealership before we traded in the armada and were told that the refund check should be there within the next 4 weeks. Since the gap and the warranty are prorated they diddnt know how much of refund exactly but, said SHOULD be around $1300.

I guess next is to start looking for a raptor......
