Please email me your VIN and we can check and see if which version you have. The high rev is normal as well as the truck is just trying to reach operating temp quicker. This can be adjusted as well if desired

Seems like a stock truck can expect 13hp/13tq to the wheels?

What is the extra bonuses with a tune? Better MPG? Quicker Shifts? I was talking to tuner friends and they explained a "blanket tune" that is best in regular conditions, on a vehicle with different "modes" it also blankets the tunes in those modes the exact same way, which may not be best ... and can cause issues?

I would love a tune , if a reputable one shows to be available in this thread. Sorry but I didnt read 74 pages , and I will when I get the time... but if you get a chance to explain to me, I would appreciate it.

Thanks! ---

I never heard of this "Blanket Tune" I even did a web search just to be in the know. NO such thing!

"Canned Tunes" are generic Tunes that will work but are not optimized for your vehicle.

All the Tunes our Tuning Vendors sell are customized to what mods you have and with data logging can tweaked to get the most out of your truck.

And with a "Real" Tune and a simple swap of a better air filter can result in 30 HP more. Some have 50 to 60 HP gains with headers and filter.

I've had my Tune installed for a month now but haven't had a chance to post. I'd have to say that its a very well balanced tune. No hiccups, no codes, no weird...anything. It seems to have given the truck that little extra it was missing without affecting streetability. It holds 1st and 2nd better which entirely eliminated that annoying shifting behavior at part throttle in parking lot situations and simply shifts better throughout without the slightest feeling that you may be overstressing anything.

A few threads back I read something about the 1-2 shift and possibly the rev limiter. Cant tell if you've eliminated this as a cause but...make sure that what you're feeling is not actually TCS or some other nanny pulling power because you're spinning a tire. I mention this because shortly after installing mine I was merging into highway traffic at around 50mph when I buried the pedal to get out in front of traffic. I clearly spun the tires because my rear end briefly started to go sideways before straightening out and I've felt on a few other occasions that I may have been spinning a tire during a hard downshift and subsequent dance with the rev limiter.

Overall VERY happy with this tune.

Did two data logs sent to SVC, was told nothing wrong.

Finally had a local tuner ran a test with their tools, confirmed the engine knocks. He basically said there are too much timing... Sent this memo to SVC last week, haven't heard back anything... Any ideas?

Mine has started doing the same thing now that it is cooler. I didn't notice it in the summer.

Have you to talked to SVC? Wondering what they say... For me, not much... the two data logs I sent, it knocks like crazy, but still was told their tuner cannot read anything abnormal.

I noticed mine started doing that back in August/September.

No, I haven't yet. Have you played around with the global spark setting to see if it goes away?
