A pat on the back. Jeff sent me a message minutes after I posted last night then responded with an email thoroughly explaining all of my questions.

I was in the same boat, figuring the Raptor was great out of the box. After driving it for a month, I noticed a few things that others have and that seemed to be addressed by the tune. Such as throttle response, shifts and better shift points.
I received my tune from SVC yesterday and installed it today. I went out for a quick test run (only on pavement, since I could only escape from work for a few minutes) and I must say I am satisfied.
I am thankful for the MUCH more responsive throttle, and overall a more spirited driving experience. I chose the SVC tune because it sounded smooth and not so "in-your-face." It has delivered perfectly, I am very glad I chose the tune from SVC.
Thanks to Jeff for helping me out on the order process and a few newbie questions I pestered him with. Great customer service!

Glad I can help! always a good feeling to hear of a satisfied customer knowing their money was well spent! Once again thank you for your business.

-Jeff

Only way it has any effect on warranty is if the servicing dealer thinks the tune contributed to the problem they are fixing. My truck is tuned and has been for a long time. Dealer never says anything about it. They noticed just like they noticed the CAI, Nav-tv, suspension, lights etc. Never once have I had an issue with them and my mods. Dealer opinions will very. But opinions are like ... well you know everyone has one.

How long does it take to change it back to stock, just for extra insurance?

Changing the program either way only takes a few minutes. Never timed it but maybe around 10 minutes total.

Also, the first time you tune your truck it'll take noticeably longer since the tuner is backing up your stock tune. Sequential tuning goes faster after that since the backup only occurs the first time the tuner is paired to the vehicle. I'd also recommend backing your stock tune up on your PC or Mac just in case.

Can't the dealers tell if it had a tune even if you put the stock one back in before taking it in for work?
