What is the reason for the higher idle? Just to sound cool?

The higher Idle is to help warm the drivetrain up quicker as well as be more agressive sounding when idling in park. Totally understandable to want to change it back to stock for those that want to respect the neighbors early in the morning.

How much higher is the idle raised?
Performance vehicles will have a slightly higher exhaust note when cold/startup.
The thing to remember is these cars like to breathe.. My v8 BMW with exhaust does make some tunes, a few dB more than stock, but I think we are sensitive to pleasing out neighbors.

Also I think the stock exhaust on this truck is loud.. Lol

With that said I will take your svc tune:)

Maybe i'm going nuts but my usual idle with the factory filter and Borla S exhaust was at least 1100, and the morning start up would shake my whole house and almost hurt my ears. The RPM's calmed down a bit, and the morning start up was significantly reduced.. I guess it must be from the CAI more so than the tune

Just read through all 30 pages. I have the 5 star 93 performance, and 87 economy. I"m tired of switching back and forth. I love the response and power of the 5star 93 but hate its shifting. From what I have read here it sounds as though the SVC has more power and response than my 5star 87 eco tune, but better shifting than the 5star 93 tune (fun off-road horrible daily driving). Can you send me a PM SVC. I have a AFE stage II and JBA side sweep catback. Also I'm using the iphone tuner (iTXS) or whatever its called. Will it work with that? You did say all SCT tuners:)

One thing I love about this tune is how stop signs and red lights no longer seem like a chore. The truck is so smooth, and it doesn't feel like I need to take a nap or refill my gas tank before leaving a 4-way intersection. There was something about the stock tune and going through 3 or 4 gears within 200ft that was exhausting and very annoying to me.

I know the reason, but why can SCT or others just add a 100 to the price for multiple vehicle tunes?

Have one for the Lightning and just makes sense to do both.

I held off on writing a review to see whether my initial excitement was from the new factor or if it truly was an improvement and I am happy to say it is a DEFINITE improvement. As of today I have ran two separate svc tunes and both have been perfect. The first one i ran was calibrated for an afe cold air. The svc tune completely eliminated any odd or erratic behavior that I was experiencing previously while using the afe cai and the stock tune. My truck pulled harder and smoother through every gear and with much more authority than I would have imagined. I have no dyno results to back up the gains, but I'm sure they are there. The second tune I ran and the one I am currently running was calibrated for a catback and a drop in air filter. This is my favorite, I no longer have the retched noises that the afe intake produced and I still have all of the performance. I went with the drop in airaid filter because it produces the same if not better filtration as the stock filter and has the added benefits of a higher flow and more total surface area because of their unique design. The tune is equally as smooth and powerful with the drop in and catback. The shifting is exactly what I would expect from a performance truck. It is not afraid to drop multiple gears if the need arrives, it shifts faster as well as smoother than the stock setup and is always in the correct gear. The shift strategy alone is worth the price of the tune. It has never shifted harshly or when I didn't want it too. I would strongly recommend the svc tune to anyone and everyone. You will not regret it.

Cliff notes
-Car is faster
-runs better
-shifts better

My apologies ...I have no doubt this has been asked before, but I don't have the attention span to read through 300 posts. What are the overall benefits of an SVC tune on a stock 2014 Raptor? ...in cromag language if you don't mind :)

Thanks.
