First, I didn't say I was. I just wondered why you think you're the golden boy of making this tune a fraud? Not enough to do in real life that makes you feel like a man?

Second, I don't understand why a 10 percent gain over a ****** tune with a ramped up throttle curve is so hard to understand? It's pretty common knowledge the reason the other tunes appear to increase throttle response is because initial throttle input opens the throttle exponentially more than the pedal input. That doesn't sound like a good way to get the most efficient performance out of any vehicle to me, especially not an already fuel mileage challenged tank like we drive.

You'll have to get personal with somebody stupid enough to fall for it, Steele.

How about you both stop trashing a vendors thread.
You guys want to bash on each other do it through pm's please and thank you.
Carry on.

:birgits_tiredcoffeehmmm, a lot of upshifting and downshifting opinions.

:think:Has anyone made this comparison:
> Move the shift lever to 'M'
> Activate the "thumb" and drive

Nope. Neither are you.

What ZB said about mileage claims. Dating back to water injection and Teflon oil additives, more recently spark plugs with multiple electrodes or magic metals, and now CAIs, super duper spark plug wires and hyper tunes, there have been many, many ridiculous mileage claims made in marketing hype. If a fraction of them were true we'd be manufacturing gasoline in our vehicles and selling it to the oil companies. That's the history.

So whenever I see a claim that a single product produces remarkable improvements in fuel economy, in this case on the order of 10 percent, my ******** meter pegs the needle. Skepticism of the unlikely is a good thing unless one is willing to believe that David Copperfield really did make the Statue of Liberty disappear.

How is a less than 1 mpg gain unbelievable? When it comes to mileage gains percentage is not as important as actual gains, when you gain 5-10 mpg from one modification on a gas engine that becomes unbelievable, whether your before mileage was 10 or 100, but a 1 mpg gain is insignificant and completely believable no matter what the before mileage was, just a slight change in driving style can effect the mileage of these trucks up to 30%

Got my tune over the weekend (thanks Jeff!), loaded it up this morning and put about 100 miles on it. Gave it hell from the git on Jeff's suggestion and did a combo of around town, highway and offroad (power line right of way dirt / loose gravel).

You can tell immediately that it's an improvement over the 93 perf tune. As others have said it is always in the right gear now. Stock was too lazy, 93 perf was too aggressive and this is just right. You're always in the highest gear possible cruising but it will drop a gear with moderate throttle and drop 2 gears right now with heavy throttle.

At first I didn't really think it was making more power than the 93 perf but then I did some 3rd gear romps as others suggested. Wow, this tune is really dialed in. Pulls much stronger than the other tune. 2nd gear pulls are stronger as well.

One thing I really love is how they flow benched it with the AFE stage 2 so now it's perfectly tuned with that CAI. I had the AFE on the stock tune which was a disaster as it created a horrible resonance just off idle. Sounded like someone playing a tuba up front. The 93 perf tune fixed about 75% of that but it was still slightly annoying under light throttle just off idle. You had to get through that rpm band quick if you didn't want to feel it. With the SVC tune all that is gone! Feels great and sounds like its supposed to.

I need more seat time but all in all I'm very happy so far.

Loving the feedback everyone! Thanks again without you guys this tune would be nothing. Glad to see the extra time we put into it is paying off through the reviews it's receiving

I just installed "The Tune" and I echo what Stang said. In addition to being in the right gear, it feels predictable. With the stock tune, I never was quite sure what the truck was going to do with respect to throttle and/or transmission response to pedal compression. I only have a little time with this tune so far, but so far Very good.
