On my brain
I am seeing the same 11.8 mpg, however, I changed my driving habit with this tune. I am done with driving constant for comparisons. Really on it at times and "enjoying" the truck more. There is economy over the 5star 93perf for sure 100%. Compared to the SCT 93oct tune not sure, seems similar, don't care. Everything else is better. This is the only tune I have not changed on a refill. Currently killing tank #3 on it. Burn baby BURNNNN...

I haven't changed intakes since I can't decide on what I want on the truck, if I decide that I don't want an aftermarket intake am I looking much power lose if I get a tune from SVC? Is there a stock dyno sheet posted that I missed?
If I ADD an intake later what's it cost to return the set up?
Does the SVC tune care what exhaust I'm running?
Can the tune be set up for the cheap 87 octane gas?

Thanks, Brian

I've learned not to put too much stock on mpg claims. There are too many variables to consider, from gas quality to altitude to driving style, heck, to wind resistance and incline!

Fact is I bought the a Raptor because it's a bad ass truck. I used to drive a Smart. 40mpg. It was a lot of fun. This one is rated 11/16. I have decided that if I get >11, I will be satisfied. YMMV. To me, more important than MPG is drivability, and having fun.

The 93 economy tune from 5Star is currently in the lead of the ones I've tested as far as my preferred tune. Smooth shifts, shifts to high gears quickly under low throttle, and the engine feel grunty and sounds awesome out of my Borla ProXS.

I just now got my tune via email from SVC. And we just exchanged PMs and emails this morning! Wow. Thanks guys! However, my Raptor is currently inoperable with its center console and shifter dismantled. Long story. New console won't get here until Wednesday, which means no new tune until at least Thursday. Wahhhhh.

But your quick response is duly noted and GREATLY appreciated. Now I'm gonna be itching all week to put that darn shifter back together. I hope I remember how....

I'll chime in..... After having the 5Star tune for over 1 year, I ran the 93 performance tune and loved it, I eventually asked Mike to soften up the shifts because they seemed pretty harsh under full throttle and I was concerned about drivetrain longevity. He understood and quickly emailed me a new tune at NO charge with more torque management added in. The shifts were a lot smoother and slower, but I thought is was a good compromise and I liked everything else about how the truck drove. The truck is the fastest, no question with the 5Star 93 performance tune. Shifts are fast and firm, the truck upshifts when it needs to, not too early. The downshift schedule is more aggressive and you are always in the right gear and have plenty of power without having to downshift. I was just concerned about long term effects on the transmission, bu there is no data or experience to say that there would be an issue.

I saw this thread and decided to send Jeff an email and try this tune out. My initial thoughts were that the shifts were smooth and power was good, but the upshift schedule was similar to stock (too early in the rpm band). Which most people would be ok with. I don't care about gas mileage or saving fuel so Jeff had the tuner make some adjustments to the tune for me. He said I was the first to request that 1st gear not shift into 2nd until 3,000 rpm and that the truck not shift into 6th gear until after 60 mph. Now the truck seems to always be in the right gear and it never bogs down. 3rd gear pulls harder and the rpm's stay higher between shifts than the 5Star tune. Other than that there is not much difference between the 2 tunes. (93 performance 5Star w/ more torque management vs. my custom SVC tune)

I'm happy with the tune from SVC and you can't beat the customer service. Jeff and the company are great to work with! It's a very subjective opinion but for now I like the SVC tune better. I wish I had easier access to a 1/4 mile track and dyno, to have some hard data on how much the tune improves the performance of the truck.

I might have to contact them and check out the tune the made for you, don't need the 6th gear over 60, but the rest sounds good

You should, getting a tune for the truck is the best mod I've done. The stock tune sucks and is only good for showing that you are getting good gas mileage. Having the truck hold 1st gear longer was important because when I pulled out in traffic the truck shifted into 2nd and bogged down before I even got the front wheels pointed straight.
