But let me put on my nag hat for a second... stick with us next time buddy! Or at the very least, let one of the organizers know you're headed off. There's a 'leave no one behind' rule in these types of situations, and there were a few nervous minutes there after you didn't turn up and before someone said they saw you jump out ahead. We just don't want anyone to end up lost or have a bad experience, ya know?

That was taking it easy on him, I was thinking that was not too cool driving by yourself in the sticks with no working spare, then to learn he didn't tell anyone he was leaving or where he was going to be and check in at pre-determined times, very not cool.

I was thinking about you guys all weekend, while I slaved away at home. Went thru 4 T-Shirts yesterday working, it was Hot and Muggy in San Diego, WTF. Got to Pay (wife Honey Do's) if we wanna Play.

damn right you should have... what the hell were you thinking?!?!?

actually if i remember correctly, nv guy said that if anyone wanted to go ahead of him, they could. im guessing that threw up a little confusion. but as you said, everyone made it back safely so we are good this time around

Yeah, I said that, but I expected if someone did that, they would use some restraint and stop and wait for at least one of us to see where they went. Next run is going to be a bit more formal, as VG and I really didnt expect to see this big a turn out.
Running off from the group is OK if your racing the Dakar, but in this instance it could have turned ugly real fast.

by the way thanks for putting this together for all of us. i really enjoyed hanging out with everyone. and i hope the next time i will be there with my raptor. do you think you would want to do this annually, or semi-annually? if so, then i will be there

I haven't really said it on here, but let me echo what a few people have already mentioned...it was great to meet everyone! It was cool to put some faces to the forum names. As well as seeing some familiar faces. Thanks to everyone who gave our dog some love too. I think she was more bothered by the cows at the lunch stop then all the rocks and bumps. Looking forward to more.

I'll have my pics and vids up, hopefully, by weeks end. I'm kinda bummed about the vids though. Apparently my video camera doesn't like hanging from the windshield in the sun, it kept overheating and turning off. So I didn't get any exciting video, other than some in car lake bed shenanigans. Oh well, better prepared for next time!
