First of all RAPTORTERRIER who let you off the leash? Leave the poverty section before you get stoned to death again. lol
I get it the new, the better, the more expensive. But I always remember where I came from, how poor I grew up and what a ****** place mother Russia was, I did serve in that military, that was really ****** up too. Damn...I really appreciate what I have. And I always look at others that do not have what I have. Just saying...
I personally love my GEN1 13 Screw. Not a daily driver I had to make a MUST rule for myself, since I have plenty of other cars to drive from my business NOT to drive it to work. So I drive it on weekends, and morning gym shit and morning Starbucks, yes I admit, I know everybody there and get free stuff from girls pretty often so there. lol
This truck is different from everything else on the road, that's how I like my stuff. Gets tons of looks and compliments. Drives like a Bentley and has a sound (not through the speakers) to back up its muscle. Its a dream truck for a lot of folks.
There are a couple of GEN2 in my town. Yes I kind of like just the front, very aggressive, but blends in from the side view with other F150. They all share same taillights and headlights. God forbid you have damage to aluminum body, its almost impossible to get it fixed 100%. I like the heavier solid feel from my GEN1. NO brainer Ford had to shave off weight to compensate for smaller displacement.
Buying a GEN2 is like playing a Russian roulette nowadays. There many that were sold with no problems and then there is a significant amount of owners that are going through some gremlins hell and that's just the beginning.
Just because Ford is pushing the shit out of their EGOboost does not mean I will be part of the herd and follow the cowbell...any time soon. GEN1 values are rock solid. Amazing truck. Also there are so many proven aftermarket products that are available to us to put the icing on the cake and give it even more flavor...
I do plan to hold on to it for a long time. Financially I can swing the GEN2 ( I do like the poverty section better) but I for sure will have better use for my money.
Also is it me or the majority of GEN2 owners are not the diehard Raptor owners like the GEN1 owners crowd. Down and dirty type of crowd that would take a shirt of their back to help the others. Again I am not saying that about all GEN2 owners. There are some that "upgraded" and stayed loyal to the brand. I am talking about the first time GEN2 owners with no previous history...
They are the segment of consumers with great income that just bought this truck because of the novelty, they can afford and do not care about paying ADM mark up, they just have to have it, and have it now....then they join the forum, I do not understand why, then complain about stuff, and try to bring in their credentials from the business world , sounds familiar? etc and then trade their trucks for something else new and flashy. Well, what else...
I love my truck as much as I love this awesome country.
