You need the TYT TH9800 for that Joe it also has the remote head unit on that model.

I just ordered the TH-9000D from @KeithMandoske at LVJ Motorsports. I spoke to him for about 30 minutes. He was awsome and very informative. Now I just need to figure out what antenna. He said I need to get a spring loaded antenna. Anybody have any recommendations besides whats on first page?

You using dual band features or just looking for VHF use? I love the PCTel 5/8th wave antenna I have. With the ground plane properly setup during install its a 3dB boost but it is only a VHF antenna not a dual band, so if you want UHF and VHF from a single antenna you will need a different antenna
