why the ball joints??

When they announced this thing & found out there was no true 4wd/2wd setup....you knew right then that there some known weak points in the drivetrain & compromises had to be made- hence AWD only

Dodge p/ups weak point was always the ball joints, maybe they have been improved.........

What? I haven’t heard of this. Does this truck not have 4x4?

AWD by default and can be locked into 4 high and 4 low. It does not have RWD as an option though.
