Don't understand how you are so stupid that you don't see the similarities. The 3.5 EB is being readied for the GT's run at Le Mans. There's no other reason to use that garbage motor for a mustang, let alone a much heavier raptor. It's being used because it's ready. 5.4 anyone?

Let's take a look at what you just stated. You say the 3.5 is a garbage motor.....that Ford happens to be getting ready for Le Mans lol. Don't be surprised when the next GT500 has the same motor in it.

You know what? Nobody knows. The difference between me and you is that I'm ok with it either way. If they eventually put a better motor in it then I'll buy that one and sell the 3.5. However the numbers and specs are better than the 6.2, a motor that you perceive is better. But it's not an 8 so you don't like it. So don't like it I could care less. Bag on it here all you want. Just don't be surprised when you get your ******* in a bunch when I call out your crankiness about it. Like I said...so much butthurt.

Ignorance is definitely the issue.
This forum is filled with current Raptor owners (the primary market for the new raptor).

Do you really think Ford was like "Hey guys we need the Gen 2 to appeal to Gen 1 owners because thats who we are making this truck for..." or do you think Ford said "The Gen 1 was such a success we need to make the Gen 2 appeal to even more people so we make a **** load more money...."?

Be realistic.

And man you gotta give up on the whole ********** comments, stop holding onto the past and look forward. I made a single comment about a v8 ********** A YEAR AGO and youre STILL butthurt over it, thats what angsty teenage girls do.

Either way Im not going to engage with you here simply because youre doing your best to be an ******* and its kinda cringy. Randy M is trolling the **** out of you and youre falling for it hook line and sinker.

I can relate to this whole V8 Raptor vs. ecoboost Raptor pissing contest.

I had been driving a Crown Vic at work for 9 years. My first older Crown Vic still had the 5.0L and it rumbled. Over the years, Ford kept 'dumbing down' the engine to the point my 2009 Crown Vic had like 230 hp and was somethin like a 4.7L. The 2013 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor came along and while the technology was top notch, everyone was not happy about 'just a whiny V6' powering our police cruisers. The first time I heard one of these V6 Interceptors get the hammer dropped, I was less than impressed. It sounded just like your typical V6. Everyone wanted to keep their growling, rumble of the V8 Crown Vic.

So I'm one of the first to get one of these V6 squads stuck onto a Ford Taurus platform. After a few days, I have to punch it and this little bitch pushes me back in my seat. Now don't get me wrong, it sounded like a V6 so there was no comparison in sound. But the other guy in the Crown Vic following me to the call was left playing catch up in a huge way.

Now everyone who is still driving a Crown are waiting with baited breath to get into one of these. So I know it's a large sticking point with a lot of us SVT owners that the Ford Performance Raptor will 'only have' a Ecoboost powering it. But I'm willing to bet it will grow on a lot of people once these things hit the dirt/sand/street and get feedback from real owners.

I still believe the SVT Raptor will be highly sought after and those who decide to keep theirs could have a true collectors truck in about 20 years. It will always be the 'Original' Raptor.

You should have the fleet maintenance guy put duck call blow-off valves on that **** burglar.

That's actually false sorry. That engine is already a race proven engine that won at Sebring and Daytona.

Let's take a look at what you just stated. You say the 3.5 is a garbage motor.....that Ford happens to be getting ready for Le Mans lol.

Bro, in case you weren't aware, Europe has a lot of displacement restrictions, both for the consumer market and in racing classes. That's how the completely bogus concept of horsepower per liter was developed. When you're bringing a knife to a gun fight, does it matter how efficient the knife is?

Ford is developing the 3.5 to make a run at Le Mans because that's what the class rules dictate. There's no other reason to choose a V6 (no one else does for a real car or truck). Unless you're shopping for a Honda Accord or a "family crap hauler", that is.

Don't be surprised when the next GT500 has the same motor in it.

This is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever read. You are really upping your game.

You know what? Nobody knows. The difference between me and you is that I'm ok with it either way. If they eventually put a better motor in it then I'll buy that one and sell the 3.5. No, the difference between me and you is that I'm not a ****** bag.

I know you aren't that bright so here's a dose of reality. Ford, Dodge, Chevy and even Toyota and Nissan sell A LOT of full sized trucks with V8s. Furthermore, very, very few cars/trucks aimed at enthusiasts use turbo V6s.

Want to try again?

And man you gotta give up on the whole ********** comments, stop holding onto the past and look forward. I made a single comment about a v8 ********** A YEAR AGO and youre STILL butthurt over it, thats what angsty teenage girls do.

One comment? Get real you creep!

I know you've been working hard to change your image around here (cool gun pic, bro) but you've got a ways to go before you can live all this down...

By the way, "angsty" and "cringy" are two of the most effeminate words I have ever heard. Your wife's still the man of the house, huh?
