Thanks Dv8tor for your thoughts on what you think Ford is trying to do from seeing and hearing what was said at the show.

It goes in line with what I think has happened with Gen 1 Raptors. More of them are street driven then off road. Not sure what you guys see in your areas but at least 99% of the raptors I see here are definitely not taken off road.

I had the privilege to check out the new Raptor in person.
Does it look more street queen-ish? Yes
But it does have the potential to turn that around.
I was not impressed at all with the truck when it initially came out but it's "slowly" growing on me.
Some things are not and hopefully when the official one comes out in 2016 maybe FORD has listened to some of the thoughts of members on here and made some changes.
Will I buy a new one when it comes out? Maybe

Here's a few pics I took.

looks like a stronger steering knuckle than the current stock models. I think RPG posted the stock f150 render of the knuckle a while back.

Any reasoning why no Svt badges or even a mention ?
Because SVT is now called Ford Performance. It's a global thing now.

So are the beds coming sprayed from the factory ?? The local dealership here has a bunch on the lot- most with the sprayed liner. But I see nothing on the window sticker. And these are right off the truck.

I think you are right. I just read an article that states the 2017 Raptor will be the same width as the current Raptor.

It may just be that they're not going to say it's 6.4 inches wider as of now. Easier to say it's 6 inches wider. I guess we'll see.
