Another issue for me is that exhaust pipes under the rear bumper now, which makes them vulnerable to damage on departure. Seems like more emphasis is made on desert running rather off-roading.

You have the same issue with our current stock exhaust set up. You smash the tail pipes with tje rear quarter panel or damage the quarter panel. At least Ford had the fore thought to do a semi dovetail & tuck the tail pipes higher in the rear bumper.

Besides it seems like the number one mod we all like to do, is a cat back exhaust system of some kind. Hey Desert running is off roading and the Raptor roots are from Baja, not from rock crawling, tractor pulling or mud bogging.

Yup, I like the new rear bumper, as it gives more clearance for the tailpipes.

Our front ends don't look better!!!



While I absolutely love our trucks.....I think this one definitely looks more aggressive and chiseled.

I disagree, I have not warmed to the pig snout like appearance on the new F-150's, and prefer the dual vents on the hood against the larger one in the middle on the new Raptor. I also do not like the back quarter panel - there is a lip on the upper part as opposed to the smooth curve from wheel well to the top of the panel on our Raptors. They lost some of the distinctiveness that I loved so much about the Raptor

And must they have "FORD" on the back bumper?

This all inspires me to get a daily driver to preserve my SVT's relatively low miles. That, or get a roush for my 2012.

Other issue with rear exit exhaust when dealing with a truck is burnt legs. I generally leave the truck running when hooking up a trailer or loading/unloading gear. Never understood dodges rear exit exhaust. I know it looks nice but we are dealing with trucks and form should follow function here.

Burnt my knee pretty darn good on the under-bumper aftermarket exhaust on my FJ. It got Sawzall'd shortly after that.
