The reality is only about 5% of raptor owners actually off-road their truck.....makes more sense for manufacturers to appeal to the other 95%...
A resent post from another member...

"On my 2013 I ran a few sets of Toyo 35x12.5 MTs but switched to Duratracs in 315x70x17. Both spewed road roost all over the truck.
Now I am getting a new 2018 and need to decide on a wheel that will bring the tire in some. I actually off-road my Raptor so I need a 17 or 18" wheel with plenty of sidewall rubber. I would like a black or titanium color wheel. The Method NV isn't bad looking but the zinc ring bolts are crap. I live in Park City UT and the salted roads eat those up in one season. They need to make all their wheels with the stainless ring bolts.

It doesn't surprise me at all that the manufacturers are building more wheels with big negative offsets because so many of the buyers are just the deep dish Mall Crawler crowd that will never put their Raptors and Jeeps on a dirt road."

hey.. kinda new here fellas/ladies.. i have a question for the group... i have a 2018 lead foot super crew and im running the stock 17" bead locks and tires... i know some of you won't want to hear this but i love the aggressive stance on my pickups... i am NOT going off roading besides a couple trips to the beach on long island here and there.. this is my every day ride.. I've always wanted one, and now with a growing family the truck has everything i need AND some.. my question is, 1.5 inch bora hub/wheel centric spacers using the stock set up... or how about a 9 inch wide wheel and maybe a 0 offset or slightly negative..?? looking to maximize a wide stance without causing any "major" modifications.... a little "cutting" is ok. as long as its minor.. anyone have any input?/ thanks and god bless!

First off BORA makes some the best adapters out there. He's also next building down from us so I'm biased. But they are 100% US made.
The OEM wheel with the 1.5" adapter will sit similar to a 17x9 with a 0. Not major rubbing but you will get some.

Nothing really as far as poke goes. The outer positions are nearly identical.

I ran ProComp wheels on my 2013 and 2019 Raptor. 17x8.5" 0 offset. Always stock tire size in BFG K02 or Falken AT3W. No rubbing ever on or off road. It does stick out very slightly past the fenders and yes it spews snow/dirt/mud all over the side of the truck. If there was a +6 or +12 offset choice I would def pick one of those.
