Some drag racing footage (if you don't like it, don't watch it) from TFL Truck. Stock G1 races an MPT-tuned G2.

Owner expects better results than he receives (he apparently doesn't consider altitude density and lower octane fuel effect on performance, or added weight of passenger).

This was no comparison. The GEN2 is faster if it matters. More torque and HP in a lighter truck plus CAI and tune. Not sure what they were thinking.

Would like to see something like this with a supercharged GEN1 with over 600hp. Granted the torque levels still won’t be there but the race would be more comparable

My '14 Roush turned about the same 0-60 as the stock Gen 2, but I had a bit more acceleration 60-80. I am sure with a tune and a better CAI and exhaust the Gen2 can be better across most bands.

TFL has turned more and more commercial the bigger they get, this was for views, nothing more. Stock vs Stock, we all know a Gen 2 is faster, a Gen 2 with a tune is obviously going to be faster still. I wouldn't mind these drag races if they had a proper 1/4 mile track to do it on, and considering they are gaining in popularity, it's about time Roman finds a better track.

I don’t know why they do all these drag races to begin with. It’s a truck, take them into some interesting venues/locales and see what they’ll do. That guy looked like his dog just died when he found out his tuned Gen 2 didn’t break into the sub-5’s like he thought. Lol

Like it's been pointed out above before this post, Gen 2 is definitely faster than Gen 1. 40 hp and more importantly 80 ft-lbs at lower rpms in a lighter truck is a no brainer.

I am surprised to see an absence of Gen 1 guys jumping in here and fighting over the results though. That's good to see.

Surprising that in some of there previous times a stock gen 2 ran the same 0-60 as the mpg tuned one. Not real good advertising for MPT? Also taking into fond=sideration that at sea level the race would be closer as the NA gen 1 wouldn’t loose as much power. The turbo gen 2 has a greater advantage at altitude.
