Texas Raptor Run April 18-21 2013

I'm sure he will too, but I was just trying to get a head start on buying the necessary gear.

Required Gear

1. A DOT approved helmet for every one in your Raptor.
2. Fire Extinguisher and a way to mount it.
3. First Aid Kit
4. Tow Strap

Suggested Gear
1. Extra Spare Tire
1.1 Tire Plug Kit
2. Spare fluids
3. Shovel
4. Lowrance GPS
5. VHF Radio
6. Misc. Spare nuts and bolts
7. Fan Belt
8. A way to secure everything. (This one is important)

After a bit more searching, it looks like this answers my question on the helmet requirements. http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f113/helmet-requirement-texas-raptor-run-11874/

If nothing changes between now and April, it looks like my Snell M2000 should be fine.

I can vouch for the extra spare! this time I will have my play tires with me though.

I would DEFINITELY add axillary lighting to your list if you plan on running at night. The stock heads SUCK! And unexpecting wild life will be roaming the hills of the ranch.

Additionally, if you are thinking this far in advance about what you need, I would recommend a good way to mount your Fire Extinguisher. I had mine resting in the cubby hole below the rear seat last year. It work with no issues. It didn't go anywhere. BUT accessibility wasn't good. Check out the way I mounted it using the WSI FE mount. He also offers a way to mount it to a chase rack if you plan on getting one.
