If you do a Factory Reset, you will likely have to recalibrate your screen. I was able to fix screen issues by using the recalibration method of putting 5 fingers on the screen for a few seconds, followed by pressing a red square. Manual explains everything.

I didn't have a cd player, but your dash (space wise) should look like this when ready to install. If the cd changer blocks the cpu of the screen, pull it.

I believe my CD Player unit looks like the lower silver radio unit in your dash. It probably stays in there just like you left your radio unit it. That has the antenna for radio and the speaker outputs on the back. I suppose the new large Tesla screen just covers the CD player. I wonder if I could load the CD player with a few CDs and then cover it up if it would forever play those CDs? haha. No way to remove them. I better pick something timeless if I do that.

Also, will the cameras show if you put it in reverse during bootup? The PHX unit would show the camera during bootup, however, it would not always show correctly during certain phases of the bootup.

If you are using sync 3 console, or whatever it's called on this unit for audio when you shut off the engine, will audio sync 3 audio immediately play during cold start?

Have you looked into having a application, say a music app, automatically load after bootup? If so, how fast does it load? With PHX, I believe I had to use tasker to do that.

I tried to re-create the camera scenario. The camera screen would not pop up before the unit finished loading.

However once screen popped up, it processed apps as soon as I touched the icon.

I will add, my typical boot times have been a tad quicker then that video. Usually by time the chimes stop and I'm buckled up, the screen is ready.

There's a nice Ford splash screen on initial boot up. Haven't seen it s since.

I'm sure the potential for these octocore units will go to the moon once more people get them. I honestly haven't messed around other than initial set up. I'm good right now.

No idea, but the only things you remove are the old screen and volume controls, everything else stays in place, so I assume so.
