UPDATE 2/3/2023: Today I put on a matte finished, antiglare and finger print resistant screen protector. I ordered it from Amazon in the Samsung Galaxy S8 Ultra size which is 10.6 inches diagonal and I trimmed it down to about 12" x 7.5". Just enough on side not to cover the reset button and microphone.

After the second day and having it full daylight I noticed the colors in the screen were very muted. I would not recommend the Icarez Matte Screen protector. I am going to try another product later. Pictures are below.

It works amazingly well and it doesn't seem to reduce the overall image quality. The color are still vibrant and the resolutions looks great. I attached a picture, but now that I am looking at it, it wasn't the best picture to attach since it has no color and it is in my garage. In full daylight it looks great and "NO FINGERPRINTS!" Can you still swipe up to bring up the climate menu w/ it full screen like that?

Good eye! I didn't notice that until you pointed it out.

You just press the area above the physical climate control and the normal climate screen menu pops up and the swipe up also works for full screen climate control. I am not using Android Auto, but the unit itself to run the apps. And, based on trying several apps it seems to be a feature incorporated into the YouTube Music and regular YouTube app.

I think the appearance without the redundant climate control buttons on all the time is a nice feature. Simplifies the screen.

I am very interested in this, did anyone try the viKNAV version....it really looks identical to the autotec pro but comes in around $220 less

So that's what it looks like running apps through the unit, you didn't remove climate controls under factory settings?

I might, although I certainly feel more comfortable going with autotec pro

one other question, can you add additional phones or do you have to reinstall your old sync system? I would not have even thought of this but the YULU device thread mentioned that op there would have to do that if he wanted to add an additional phone (sounds crazy to require that)

Not sure how many phones you can connect to the new screen, but you can always connect 1 phone to the new screen and another to sync.

Sorry, I thought you were asking if you can connect additional phones.

That not being able to switch phones thing is a non issue. You still have sync, you just have a new screen.

Anyone know how it looks with polarized sunglasses? How is the outside temp displayed, I know with CarPlay it’s not on the screen, what about the screens home screen ?
