I put a deposit down for $100 its worth the spot in line.

By the time this comes out I'll be looking for an electric daily so this could be a nice addition with ridiculous acceleration, also no door dings is kind of nice

My stance is that people who designed this have never farmed, towed a camper, really went off roading, or worked in the trades. It appears it was designed by people who have never left the city and just want to impress people with 0-60 pulls in their "truck".

Things I like
- Stainless steel (I hate worrying about paint, scratches, and rust potential)
- 0-60 of the $70k version at under 3s
- Towing Capacity of the $70k version @ 14,000
- Fold down tailgate ramp

Things I dislike
- Dorky Shape
- Visibility looks horrible
- Useless side bevel of the bed
- Cross Country towing range is likely going to be abysmal (cut in half) with long charge times
- Can't baja, go out into the middle of nowhere
- Air bag suspension isn't good for offroading
- Doubt they can hit the price points (they had a lot of trouble getting the 3 to be $35k)

Looks like a Total Recall vehicle

I immediately thought of Back to the Future mixed with Blade Runner, but yeah pretty much any "futuristic" movie from that time

It looks like a 3rd grader drawing his first truck in art class.

Haha, I said the same thing to one of my co-workers who pre-ordered one. To each their own I guess. Still think it's ugly.

It's got a face only Elon could love. That thing oogly. I was excited for it only to be let down.

Maybe the gen 2 of it will deliver.

Just hope you get shot in the doors instead of the windows. >;)

Gen 2? That would be a minimum of 5 years out. Then again Tesla hasn’t done any major body changes on any vehicles.

Elon musk is a mind blower. It’s definitely not something you’re used to seeing. But I bet everything about it is very functional.

Looks like the wave of the future, why else would Ford put 100’s of millions into electric tech.

That being said, Musk himself says in the launch that it’s Baja capable.

That may be true to an extent, but how bad do you have to smoke the competition to make up for the charging time, even with an alleged 500mi range.
Is that range at full out or 30 mph? My Gen1 gets 30+mpg at 30mph in 5th gear.

All that said, 40k starting out is impressive. It will be hard for Ford to beat that without the gigantic subsidies Tesla bilks us for on the regular.

Lots of questions left unanswered.
