If you could sell your Raptor for a lot, what would you drive for 12-24 months while you wait for the Gen 3?

Has to be under $60k, snow-drivable, preferably performance-oriented (I'm flexible), and not a model that will depreciate away the extra positive equity gained. Oh, and not a truck. The Raptor is the only truck I'm into.

Back story... I've got a 2018 SCREW with most of the options. I've had plenty of positive equity since I bought it but in the current market trade values have jumped $7-10k. I'm waiting on an offer from a dealer I have a connection with and wondering what to do if I get an offer I can't refuse. I like the idea of pocketing an extra $10k to add to money down on a Gen 3. Problem is, Gen 3s are a ways off.
A bronco.

Couple year old audi S3. AWD Golf R drivetrain with dct and a lot more of them around so better pricing. You can drive that for free for a couple years.

MQB cars are crazy reliable so dont sweat the audi maintenance perception.

I took my 18 Raptor (801a) with 31,000 miles on it to Toyota they offered me $54,200 on a trade for a 2021 Tundra TRD Pro that was just under $55,000
My tax’s would only cost me $60
If I buy the tundra
And the tundra has good resale value
Just waiting on the 2021 to come in

Good value on the Raptor. I have a 2018 802a with 33k miles and have a standing $55k offer. Also no sales tax in NH so not a consideration.

Can't imagine why you would actually want to trade the Raptor for a Toyota. I'm only thinking about doing this to capitalize on the strong used car sales market, so I have more money down for a Gen 3 Raptor.

Tacoma or Tundra.
Despite what FT1 said, my 2013 Tacoma is my third Toyota Truck with nearing 200K, no issues or rust, will hang with my Raptor thru 5th gear in a drag race and according to KBB is top 10 vehicle for holding its value.

Ive even plugged one with 20mm in Iraq and it limped away...:)

Cant beat the Tacoma for bang for your buck, Tundra a close second.

Nothing like downgrading to a 13 year old truck with a propensity to leak oil and rust out. Raptor resale value is also better than anything Toyota makes.

No kidding you’re not going to have rust issues, you’re in the Texas. The issue affects vehicles in all the large majority of the US. Toyota didn’t lose a $3.4 Billion lawsuit because their junk doesn’t rot out.

As far as a drag race, don’t be ridiculous. That ancient 4.0 with its 230 HP isn’t hanging with a Raptor at any speed, Gen 1 or Gen 2.

You get plenty of “bang for your buck” in the Tundra; the bed banging into the cab. They’re junk products, it amazes me how people get so brainwashed.
