Tailgate picture request

I ordered my 2018 without the applique. It is the one thing the factory failed to get right, since my truck came with it installed.

But it turns out I'm glad they messed up because at the time I ordered it I did not know that deleting the applique meant you got the embossed F-150 logo in the sheetmetal which I do not care for. The Blue Oval that bothers so many people is fine with me, but the stamped metal just reeks of Toyota.

Is that Lightning Blue?

Ford Super Duty have had stamped tailgates for a many years now...

To your point...
I like the cleanliness of the delete. But the Blue Oval and the F150 stamp just looks out of place. If they stamped "FORD" under it, I would at least understand. But for a vehicle that has RAPTOR on everything, the F150 stamp doesn't jibe with the rest of the Truck branding.

None of the four F150's I have had over the years have had the same tailgate logos. I guess I enjoy the view of a new tailgate.
