The bottom (of the inside) of my tailgate is taking some damage. Ford didn’t cover it with bed lining from the factory. What are you guys using to protect this area ?

The area I’m referring to is the space between the bed and tailgate, when the tailgate is fully open

There are a hundred spray can options you could use with careful masking.

Hahahahaha I know most people don’t use Raptors for what they’re designed for let alone as an actual basic b***h truck, but Jesus!

who gives a sh*t?

seriously!?! If you’re actually concerned about this no doubt you’re not loading the sucker up w/ gravel, pavers, concrete, plywood, etc etc so it’s not like whatever you’re using it for is gonna do any significant “damage”

The truck is ahhhh.....made out of aluminum for a reason, one of the marketing gimmicks (hint- it won’t rust- can ya believe it!!!)

throw some Xpel film on it or rhino line/Linex yourself - either way the only difference in “value” will be what’s taken outta your back pocket for the “protective measures” . Nobody will give a damn or even notice that spot is scratched up

Love my Bedrug. Extremely durable and very easy to clean. Will never do another bed liner after having this:

Mine is the same way (oddly enough, so is my wife’s ZR2). I just think bed liner applications from the factory are getting lazy and expensive. If I end up getting my bumpers sprayed with Line-X I’m going to have them address this as well.

I would rather probably be a d-bag then to be a known bigot with that comment. Neither expressions have any bearing in this forum. Shame on you both. Egos are so easily damaged here.
I read eggs instead of egos and thought we took an easter turn.

I have not done anything to further protect this area. Wish I had, I haul firewood, brush, camping gear, landscaping supplies, etc. mine has taken a little beating, but no dents.
